For some reason, I kept thinking that I've discussed Bliss on Demise of Film before. I absolutely loved this movie the first time I saw it. Since I've seen it, I've seen Christmas Bloody Christmas and VFW.
However, there is something special about Bliss. I love how you're constantly wondering if the main character is tripping out or if she really is a vampire. The movie is constantly making you question everything that is happening. There is one shot though that I ABSOLUTELY loved and am mad at Begos for pulling off before I could. Darn you, Joe! I actually wrote a similar scene in this script called Divided. Divided was supposed to by my first feature about a bunch of kids going into the woods and encountering a werewolf. I wrote it and my friends rewrote a lot of the dialogue. However, as life happened, I just wasn't able to pull it off. Anyway, I had written a segment where the main character kills himself and would regenerate via stop motion. Joe did that and I have never been so happy and envious to see something I'd always wanted to see in a movie. Overall, Bliss is a bloody mess and if you can get past the language, you're in for a hell of a ride.
