I heard about this movie on Good Bag Flicks earlier this month and he said it's very similar to Seven while managing to be its own movie. So like Critters.
Resurrection is a movie about a serial killer who is killing 33-year-old men and stealing parts of their body so he can reconstruct the body of Christ. And it's up to Connor MacLeod to stop the killer.
If you haven't heard of this film and are a die-hard fan of Christopher Lambert, it's probably because you're American. For some reason, this film was a made-for-TV movie in the States but was released theatrically in Spain, France, and Switzerland. While the filming does look very 90s made-for-TV, do not let that deter you.
Resurrection has a lot of tension building throughout its narrative alongside really well executed twists. One thing I dislike about a lot of modern films is lying to the audience as to what they saw. It's a big reason why I love Deep Red, the film doesn't lie to you and the twists feel like they were earned. The twists in Resurrection are definitely well earned.
Resurrection is a cool movie and definitely deserves to be seen.
