Starring: Jenny Wright, Clayton Rohner, Randall William Cook
Directed by: Tibor Takács
Written by: David Chaskin
Picture
One of the biggest problems I had with some of the earlier films for Spooptober has been the fact they are films that have been covered by numerous people. However, I haven't seen anyone cover I, Madman. Heck, I hadn't even heard of it until I was doing research into The Gate 2.

I, Madman is a decent enough film for lovers of horror. If you're a lover of pulp fiction as well, this is definitely a film for you. Victoria is a lover of schlocky stories, but the latest story she's been reading may be coming to life.

The standouts with this film are definitely the effects. The jackal boy from the beginning of the film looks like it would fit in well with the creatures of The Gate. In fact, I, Madman is directed by the same guy who made The Gate. The missing face of the mad man is also pretty stellar.

The only complaint I have is that certain parts of the film can be rather slow, but this all pays off with an explosive final battle.

If you watched The Gate and are looking for something in a similar vein, I would highly recommend I, Madman.
